EQ6 Simplified - Perfect for the beginning EQ6 user

Attention EQ6 beginners! EQ6 Simplified, the newest and biggest of our best-selling “Simplified” tutorials is ready. Popular EQ teacher and author Fran Iverson Gonzalez holds your hand as you work through step-by-step instructions in eight fun lessons. It’s like taking classes right in your own home. Fran has taught thousands of EQ beginners and she’ll teach you too as you design fabulous, yet simple, quilt designs.

Lesson 1: Turn a basic Kaleidoscope quilt into a starry sensation. Learn to modify your existing quilts, color, and calculate fabric yardage. The basic steps learned in this lesson are the building blocks of EQ software.
New EQ6 feature: Rotate directional fabrics with a mouse click.

Lesson 2: EQ6 has pre-designed quilt designs! Create amazing quilts starting with a quick-quilt project and modifying blocks, fabrics and borders. Work with the new on-point layout style.
New EQ6 feature: Print setting triangles as clipped blocks.

Lesson 3: Begin drawing blocks with EasyDraw™. Fussy cut fabric right on your block while the fabric scales perfectly. Create stunning multiple border designs.
New EQ6 feature: Import fabrics from other EQ project files.

Lesson 4: Lesson 4 is packed! Convert a block into a motif, combine EasyDraw™ and PatchDraw designs, and create quilting stencils. Learn to use the Graph Pad for precise Layer 3 quilting stencil placement.
New EQ6 feature: Turn layers on and off to display individual design layers more clearly.

Lesson 5: Ready for some real fun? Play with the Symmetry and Serendipity tools which make instant changes to your quilt and block designs.
New EQ6 feature: Add pre-designed borders using the Auto Borders tool—there’re so many to choose from!

Lesson 6: More than a quilt top! Design a pieced quilt backing and add a personalized quilt label. Create beautiful flower patterns with the Wreathmaker. Print complex foundation patterns.
New EQ6 feature: Use the Set Appliqué Text tool to personalize a quilt label.

Lesson 7: Make designs move with a series of high impact borders. Create blocks and motifs with the new EQ6 Rectangle and Ellipse PatchDraw tools. Finish off your quilt with a Prairie Points border.
New EQ6 feature: Create a quilt layout from a block design.

Lesson 8: Create dazzling appliqué with PatchDraw. Step outside the box, designing abstract quilts. Experiment with advanced fabric rotation.
New EQ6 feature: Use the Brush Stroke tool in PatchDraw.

The author, Fran Iverson Gonzalez is a professional quilt designer and teacher who teaches Electric Quilt classes at Quilt University.com.
